Cocoa Energy Balls

I love these balls! They are tasty and a quick snack to refuel the body with energy and nutrients. Its loaded with omega-3 fatty acids, and also contains maca powder, a superfood, which also helps to boost energy. The balls last for a good amount of time and are so delicious. They have a great nutty, chocolatey, sweet flavor. So yummy!

Cocoa Energy Balls

1 1/2 cups dates, pitted

1 cup desiccated coconut

1/4 cup cocoa powder

2 tablespoons flax seeds

2 tablespoons hemp seeds

2 tablespoons chia seeds

1 tablespoon maca powder

3 tablespoons water

Chop the dates to make it easier to blend and, in a food processor, add dates, coconut, cocoa powder, maca powder and water. Blend until the mix comes together and all ingredients are well incorporated. Then, add the hemp, flax and chia seeds. Mix in food processor until it comes together and is mixed in well. Place mix into a bowl and use your hands to get all ingredients thoroughly incorporated. Use a small scoop to form and roll into balls.

Makes about 18 small balls. Store in a sealed container in a refrigerator. Will stay fresh for 1 week.
