Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium russet or red potato, peeled and cut into ½-inch pieces
  • 1 zucchini, quartered or halved and cut into ½-inch-thick pieces
  • 1 green onion, cut into 2-inch lengths
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • ¼ tsp salt, plus more to taste
  • ½ cup dried anchovies
  • 3 quarts (12 cups) water
  • Put the anchovies and water in a large pot. bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 to 7 minutes. strain and discard the anchovies
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp korean chili powder
  • ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • Combine all the ingredients in a small bowl. leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator in a tightly sealed container for about 1 week. this is also great for battered foods, or to season fish, meat, veggies and tofu
