- 1 c sugar
- 1/2 c heavy cream
- 14 oz almond paste
- 10 large eggs, separated (yolks in one bowl, whites in another)
- 20 oz jar of apricot, or orange preserve.
- 6 Tbsp butter
- 3 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 Tbsp corn syrup, light
- 2 Tbsp spiced rum
- 2 tsp orange extract
- 6 oz semi sweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 c sliced almonds
