- 1/2 teaspoon orange zest from 1 medium orange, optional
- 16g all-purpose flour (1/2 ounce; 2 tablespoons)
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) brandy or dark rum, optional
- 1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon Diamond Crystal kosher salt; for table salt, use half as much by volume
