Ingredients
- 1 cup coarsely chopped almonds, blanched if you can find them
- 1 1/2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 9 tablespoons (1 stick plus 1 tablespoon) unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 large egg
- 1 large egg white
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 1/2 teaspoons orange zest (not traditional, but just lovely in there)
- 1/3 cup raspberry jam
- Slivered or sliced almonds, for garnish (optional)
