  • 4 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 box raisins
  • 1 pound chopped red cherries
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cups applesauce
  • 4 cups plain flour
  • 1 cup chopped nuts pecans
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions

Put in a greased and floured cake pan.

Bake at 325-350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Save some cherries and nuts to decorate the top with. This makes a large cake and can be kept in the refrigerator for days.
