Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Cream butter, sugar and brown sugar until it is nice and fluffy (about 5 minutes). Do not skimp on the time here, you want the mixture to be very light in color.

Add baking soda, baking powder, salt, and flour (slowly) until all ingredients except for chocolate chips are fully mixed together.Fold in chocolate chips and stir until evenly distributed.
