Instructions

Cream together sugar and shortening until well mixed.

Add eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour, soda, and salt. Stir flour mixture into shortening-sugar mixture until no dry flour shows. Drop by rounded teaspoon about 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 375 degrees.
