Ingredients
- 1 can (15-oz) chickpeas (or garbanzo beans), drained
- 3/4 red onion, chopped (reserve and slice remainder for stuffing sandwiches)
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 4 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon coriander (optional)
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (might not use all of it)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon baking powder (only if baking)
- Olive oil or vegetable oil (only if baking)
- Vegetable oil (only if frying)
