- 1 1/2 cups warm water, about 110 - 115 degrees
- 2 teaspoons sugar, divided
- 1 packet fast acting yeast
- 2 1/4 cups bread flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup onion, sliced very fine
- 1/2 cup basil, sliced very fine
- 1 tablespoon salt
