- Karele(Bitter gourd) - 4 (Medium sized)
- Chopped Onions - 2
- Chopped Tomatoes - 1
- Chopped Green Chilies - 2
- Chopped Ginger - 1 tablespoon
- Coriander Powder - 1/2 tablespoon
- Red Chili Powder - 1/2 tablespoon
- Garam Masala - 1/2 tablespoon
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tablespoon
- Curd - 1/2 cup ( beaten curd at room temperature)
- Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tablespoon
- Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tablespoon
- Fenugreek Seeds/ Dana Methi - 1/4th tablespoon
- Chopped Coriander Leaves for ganishing
- Salt to taste
- Oil as required for shallow frying the karelas
