- 1 tablespoon Armagnac or brandy
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 8 fresh mint leaves, torn into pieces
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1 (1/4-ounce) packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
