- 1 medium potato, diced
- ¼ head of cabbage, shredded
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 medium carrot, grated
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh dill or parsley, chopped, plus extra to garnish
