- 1 3/4 to 2 cups sugar, depending on your desired level of sweetness
- 4 to 6 drops yellow food coloring, plus more for the semolina (optional)
- 4 green cardamom pods, seeds crushed and husks discarded
- Pinch saffron
- 1 tablespoon sliced almonds, for garnish
- 1 tablespoon food-safe dried rose petals, for garnish
- Golden raisins, for garnish
