Ingredients
- 8 oz. dark bittersweet chocolate (I like to use 4 oz unsweetened and 4 oz bittersweet)
- 1 1/2 stick unsalted butter (3/4 cup)
- 1 cup finely minced fresh basil, loosely packed
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1/2 cup + 1 Tbsp. cane sugar
- 1 cup ground almonds
- 2 Tbsp. non-GMO cornstarch (or tapioca flour)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp confectioner’s sugar for dusting
- Fresh basil leaves
