- 1 onion, peeled and chopped

- 3 ribs celery, chopped
- 3 parsnips, peeled and chopped
- 1 large turnip, peeled and chopped
- 1/4 -1/2 large daikon radish, peeled and chopped
- coarse sea salt to taste
