Fresh Strawberry Whipped Cream Cake

- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, 2 sticks, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1- 1/4 cups buttermilk, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- FOR THE STRAWBERRIES & FILLING
- 4.4 ounces bar, Lindt white chocolate
- 2 pints fresh strawberries
- 1 cup Dickenson's seedless red raspberry preserves
- WHIPPED CREAM TOPPING
- 2 pints whipping cream, very cold
- 2 cups confectioner's sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
