Lemon Herb Chicken in Milk
Ingredients
- 3-4 pounds whole chicken or chicken thighs, bone-in
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 2 cups milk
- 2 lemons, zested, set aside
- 1 lemon, zested, juiced and chopped
- 1 cinnamon stick, halved
- 1 star anise, crushed
- 15 garlic cloves, unpeeled
- 1 handful sage leaves
- 1 handful fresh thyme leaves
- 1 bunch parsley, roughly chopped
