- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 serrano pepper minced (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup basmati Please use aged Indian basmati, not an American basmati, if possible
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 onion thinly sliced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
