Carrot Cake Ice Cream
Ingredients
- For the ice cream:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup 1% milk
- 4 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 2 cinnamon sticks, broken in half
- 10 whole allspice pods
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup carrot juice (I used Bolthouse Farms)
- 1 medium carrot, peeled
- 1 navel orange
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 4 tablespoons mascarpone
- For Maple Walnuts:
- 1/4 cup walnut halves
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup
- Pinch sea salt
