Mini Tempeh “Crab” Cakes
Ingredients
- 12 ounces plain tempeh
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1/2 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
- 3/4 cup finely chopped red onion
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1-1/2 teaspoons Old Bay Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 large eggs
- 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1-1/3 cups dry bread crumbs or wheat germ or a combination
- Canola oil (if frying)
