- 1/4 cup finely chopped Italian parsley
- 3 garlic cloves, very thinly sliced
- 5 good quality oil-packed anchovy fillets
- 4 tablespoons good quality olive oil (about 2 tablespoons for cooking, plus more for drizzling)
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- Pinch salt, to taste
- Pinch black pepper, to taste
- Toasted freshly grated breadcrumbs (optional)
