pasta with beer caramelized onions
Ingredients
- 1 pound pasta, any shape
- 2 pounds white or yellow onions, around 4 medium
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, or olive oil
- 3/4 cup beer, any kind will work but use something cheap and try to avoid the super-hoppy; it will cook down to be bitter
- salt and pepper to taste
