- 2 teaspoons rice vinegar

- 1 1/2 teaspoons arrowroot starch powder
- 1 pound boneless, skinless, chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 3 Medjool dates, pitted and coarsely chopped
- 1/4 cup water (approximatley)
- 1 tablespoon good-quality balsamic vinegar
- 1 teaspoon coconut aminos
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon arrowroot starch powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground Sichuan pepper
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 2 teaspoons dried red pepper flakes (or 6 dried red chilies with ends snipped)
- 1/2 cup scallions (both white and green parts), thinly sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon minced or grated fresh ginger
- 1/4 cup unsalted roasted cashews
- 4 Medjool dates, pitted and finely sliced
- 1/4 cup scallions, thinly sliced
