Ingredients
- 2 packets yeast, dissolved in 1 c warm water with a pinch of sugar
- 1 cup solid shortening
- 1 cup boiling water
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 5 cups AP flour
- 1 cup cake flour
- 1/2 pound butter
