Ingredients
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup corn meal
- 1/4 cup gram flour (also known as garbanzo or chickpea flour)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1/2-3/4 cups milk
- 3/4 cup fresh or frozen and defrosted corn kernels
- 1/2 small onion, diced
- 1 clove of garlic, crushed
- oil for frying (I prefer sunflower oil)
- sweet chili sauce to serve
