- 2 T. balsamic vinegar
- salt and pepper to taste
- 10 ounces fresh or frozen peas
- 3 pounds potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 2 cups cubes squash (optional)
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup regular milk or buttermilk
