Ingredients
- 1 cup raw almonds (soaked in hot water for 30 minutes, skins removed, see Chef’s Notes)
- 2 cups water
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup date paste (link in Chef’s Notes)
- 2 pinches salt (optional)
- 2 ¼ cups water
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 inches of organic lemon peel
- ¾ cup organic brown rice (rinsed well)
- ground cinnamon (to taste)
