- 1 1/2 cup Toor Dal (Yellow Split Pigeon Peas)
- 1 Bottlegourd
- 3 Drumsticks
- 6 cups Water
- 1/2 cup Oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 tsp Methi Powder
- Asafoetida (Pinch)
- 3 Whole Red Bedgi Chillies (Broken into halves)
- 4-5 Long Green Chillies (Cut into halves and Slited)
- 2 Sprigs Curry Leaves
- 2 small Onions (Chopped lengthwise)
- 2 Tomatoes (Chopped)
- 2-3 tbsp Sambar Powder
- 1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- Salt (As required)
- 1 tbsp Tamarind Pulp
