Tomato Tortellini Soup With Italian Sausage

Ingredients

• 16 ounces ground mild Italian sausage
• 1/2 large yellow onion , diced small
• 3 cloves garlic , minced
• 1 teaspoon dried oregano
• 1/4 cup dry white wine (or substitute chicken stock)
• 1 tablespoon tomato paste
• 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
• 1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
• 4 cups chicken stock , store-bought or homemade
• 1 teaspoon sugar
• 8 ounces frozen cheese tortellini
• 1 cup packed baby spinach leaves
• 8 large fresh basil leaves , cut into thin ribbons
• 1/3 cup heavy cream
