- * molho de cebola (fresh onion sauce for feijoada):
- * 1 1/2 cup bean cooking liquid, or chicken broth
- * 1/2 to 3/4 of a jalapeno
- * 1 1/2 medium onion, grated
- * 3/4 cup parsley
- * 3/4 cup green onion, chopped
- * 2 lime or lemon, juiced
- * farofa (manioc meal topping for feijoada):
- * 1 1/2 cup manioc meal
- * 4 clove garlic, minced

- * leftover cooked meat (optional)
- * hard boiled or fried egg, chopped (optional)
