Ingredients
- 2 pounds turkey drumsticks, cut crosswise into 1 - 11/2 inch thick slices
- 1 yellow onion (about 6oz), finely chopped
- 4 ounces bacon, (about two tick slabs, cut into ¾ inch strips)
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup dark ale (I used Samuel Smith Nut Brown Ale)
- 1 tablespoon dark full-bodied honey
- 1 tablespoon ketchup (do not substitute with tomato paste)
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
