- Salt to taste
- 1 pinch asafetida powder
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1/4 cup water
- For the tadka (Sputtered seasoning)
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon black mustard seds
- 1 sprig curry leaves
