- 2 teaspoons ground turmeric
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- Spice Mix:
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground coriander
- 2 tablespoons granulated garlic
- 2 tablespoons onion powder
- 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- White Sauce:
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 3 tablespoons white vinegar, plus more to taste
- 2 large garlic cloves, finely grated (preferably on a Microplane)
- 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- Frying & Serving:
- Canola oil, for deep-frying
- Kosher salt, for seasoning
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- Cilantro leaves, lime wedges, and hot sauce, for garnish (optional)
