  • 3 cups whole milk, warm
  • 3/4 to 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 6 tablespoons grated Parmesan
