- filling:
- 2 cups ground walnuts
- 2 cups chopped dates
- 1/4 cup 2% milk
- 3 tbsp plus 1 cup sugar, divided
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3 egg whites
- confectioners' sugar , optional
