- * chana dal 2 tbsp
- * black urad dal 2 tbsp
- for masala:
- * 1 medium sized onion, finely chopped
- * 1 medium sized tomato, finely chopped
- * 2-3 dry red chilie
- * 10-12 curry leaf kadi patta
- * 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
- * 1/2 tsp black mustard seed rai
- * 1 tsp cumin seed jeera
- * 1 to 2 pinch of asafoetida powder hing (optional)
- * 1/2 tsp turmeric powder haldi
- * 1/2 -1 tsp red chili powder lal mirch powder
- * 1 tsp coriander powder (optional)
- * 1 tsp kasuri methi dry fenugreek leaf
- * 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
- * 2-3 tbsp oil or ghee or unsalted butter
- * 1 or 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaf dhania patta
