- 4 juniper berries
- 8-9 cups beef broth
- Olive or vegetable oil
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
- For the Knoedels
- 2 egg whites
- 2 ounces Cream of Wheat (or farina)
- 2-3 cups beef broth (or water)
- A pinch of salt
