- 2 tablespoons finely minced garlic
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
- 3/4 cup unsalted chicken stock or low-sodium broth
- 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons corn or peanut oil
- 2 ounces coarsely ground pork butt
- 1/2 teaspoon paper-thin rings of red Fresno chile
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch dissolved in 1 tablespoon cold water
- Slivered green onions, for garnish
